The Trek is over and it was a great success.
despite the cold and rainy weather on Friday and Saturday, over 1,500
riders bicycled the 180 miles from Sunday River to the sea at Rockland.
In all, more than 1 million dollars was raised for the Lung
Association of Maine due to the generosity of people like you. By the way, I rode every inch of the route. Ed. Gervais Fort Kent has made an Outstanding pledge of $300.00 to the American Lung Association of Maine in support of Ed's ride in the Trek. A heartfelt "THANK YOU" to the most generous employees at Fort Kent. What more can we say ...
Many thanks to the employees of the eastport plant who have contributed $50.00 to support Ed's bicycle ride in the Trek across Maine for the American Lung Association of Maine. Between a bake/sandwich sale and a little arm twisting by Creative Apparel's premier fund raiser, Wanda Drummond, the Dover Plant has contributed $176.00 dollars to the Trek Across Maine. Mucho, mucho thanks to the very generous folks at Dover. What more can we say - it's a lot from a small plant and it will go a long way to help a good cause. More good news -
Indian Township employees donate $87.40. A lunchtime barbecue held at Belmont Thursday, the 12th of May contributed an additional $69.00 to the Lung Association. Thanks again for great group fundraising at Belmont for a total so far of $152.00 Many thanks to the employees of the Harmony plant who have contributed $90.00 to support Ed's bicycle ride in the Trek across Maine for the American Lung Association of Maine. On Thursday, April 22, the employees of the BELMONT PLANT hosted a luncheon and collected $83.00 to benefit the American Lung Association of Maine in support of Ed Gervais' ride in the Trek Across Maine. Many thanks to the generous people of the Belmont plant. Click here to see a picture of Ed on one of his training rides this winter. Pledge your support to fight lung disease On June 17 - 19, Ed Gervais, Quality Manager for Creative Apparel, will bicycle 180 miles from Sunday River to Rockland in the annual TREK ACROSS MAINE. The Trek is an event run by the American Lung Association of Maine to raise money for research and education on lung disease in Maine. Pledge your support for this important work by contacting Ed Gervais at the Belmont office or by visiting Ed's pledge page on the Lung Association's web site. Ask yourself. Do you know anyone who suffers from lung disease - asthma, lung cancer, emphysema ...? |
